About Me

Motte

In hindsight, I'm not really sure what to put here, because I don't quite like to talk about myself online!

In case you glossed over it on the homepage though, I'm Motte. It means moth in German. I got it as a nickname while playing Sky: Children of the Light. It's a pretty good game, you should try it! New players are called "moths" by experienced ones, and at the time I was in deep trying to learn German. So I got named "Motte." :)

I still like languages, but I'm pretty weird about them & other cultures now. Consequences of being a tween girl online talking to a bunch of men in language exchanges online. eugh. I swear, anyone who gets banned from tinder and has a "foreign girl fetish" goes on exchange sites! Don't worry, I've finally talked myself into going to therapy yay. Just maybe don't talk to me about it hhaahah. But - if you wanna see some of the stuff I've accumulated about languages and linguistics, there's a page for it now. :)

Hobbies?

I used to take horseback riding lessons, and then COVID happened and the prices jumped waay too high for me to ever keep up with. I started taking ballet classes since. They're a lot cheaper compared to horse riding, and it's a lot more social :) I am very very very bad at it though haah

All of my friends somehow have been musicians, but I've got no talent in that way. I have an old guitar my brother gave me that I keep falling in and out of commitment to learning. I just love having long nails...

I love sewing too! I haven't had much opportunity to sew - I had wanted to get a bookshelf with doors to put my fabrics in, because I have cats, but I don't, and so everything is covered in hair... It makes it pretty exhausting to start a project now because of it. (I used to have everything hidden in boxes, which made accessibility a bitch, but at least they were clean...)

Contact?

YOU CAN'T!!

Kidding. I don't have an email that I want to share online (yet?) but I have a spacehey account, and some tumblrs. Or, if you hate using any other site, you can comment something in the guestbook of my neocities page. I'll eventually slap the link in here once I get the CSS for my footer figured out, don't worry. Go hog wild.
